[edit] Training advice: Building up to a tornado split
only IF your Xuanfengjiao is high enough and rotates well enough and your splits are good (left foot in front assuming you are doing the XFJ with right leg Wink) then try the XFJ to splits.
as an initial drill do little hops from a squat position into the splits and then to squat again, get the feeling, is just like sitting down on the floor. u can do an inside kick to splits, also to get the feeling.
then, practice your XFJ's, once u get it going well try landing in a left bow stance (left leg bent). important: your chest should face the direction where u are coming from.
once u can do this CONSISTENLY with no extra momentum or any other landing problems. then simply open your left leg prior to landing, be carefull not to hit your left ankle hard to the floor! both legs should slide and all u need to do is control the landing, keep hands on the sides for balance and eventually controlling a possible fall
